Meet the Doctors
Joshua Kirk
Dr. Joshua Kirk is a Washington native and graduate of Central Washington University. After graduating from CWU, Joshua attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona where he met his wife, Amy. Together, they moved to Amarillo, Texas where Joshua practiced for a couple of years. When the opportunity arose to work in Washington, Joshua and Amy moved to Kennewick.
Dr. Kirk purchased Mountain View Dental Center in 2017 (est. 2005) and has felt incredibly blessed to be back in the Ellensburg community. Dr. Kirk continues the Mountain View Dental legacy by treating patients like family and always pursuing education to develop as a dentist, keeping up-to-date with dental techniques, research and technology.
When Josh is not at the office, you can probably catch him riding his bicycle. He and Amy enjoy being involved with church, spending time with friends and family and being outdoors. Dr. Kirk enjoys attending continuing education courses and learning all things about teeth (we lovingly call him a “Tooth Nerd”).
Dr. Kirk is a member of: Academy of General Dentistry, Spear Education and CEREC Doctors.
Bob Thureson
Dr. Robert (Bob) Thureson joined Mountain View Dental as Associate Dentist in July 2022. Dr. Bob grew up on a farm in Eatonville, WA and graduated from Central Washington University with a Biomedical Biology major and a Chemistry minor. He then graduated from University of Washington School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and simultaneously participated in the Regional Initiatives in Dental Education (RIDE) program, which emphasizes practicing in rural and underserved areas of Washington state.
Dr. Bob knew he wanted to return to work in Ellensburg and serve a rural farming population like he grew up with. His focuses are long-term, high-success restorations, root canals, same-day treatments and emphasizing quality of work and patient satisfaction above all else.
Outside of the dental office Dr. Bob enjoys playing golf, tennis, biking, and eating as much good food as possible.
